Nickelback, one of the biggest rock bands of the past decade known for their extraordinary live performances, have announced their first North American arena tour in two years. The Live Nation-produced tour begins on April 10th in Moline, Illinois at the i wireless Center, making a 39-date trek throughout North America, with dates confirmed through June 26th at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. Special guests Bush, Seether and My Darkest Days, join Nickelback on all tour dates.

Nickelback last toured in 2009 with the extremely successful, “Dark Horse World Tour” where the band performed for nearly 2 million fans with more than 120 shows around the world including stops in Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and North America.

With the new tour, Nickelback will perform songs from the recently released seventh studio album, Here And Now, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 following its November 21, 2011 release on Roadrunner Records. Propelling Here and Now into the #2 spot were the two hit singles “When We Stand Together” and "Bottoms Up.” Here and Now is also the biggest international release in Nickelback’s history, including a #1 debut in Canada on Universal Music Canada.

Nickelback has achieved a prestigious place in music history having sold nearly 45 million worldwide. Since their 2001 breakthrough hit song “How You Remind Me,” Nickelback has sent 20 singles rocketing onto various Billboard charts. In 2009, Billboard Magazine also named Nickelback “Top Group of the Decade.” Their now classic album All the Right Reasons insured Nickelback an indelible place in rock history, having spent a staggering 112 consecutive weeks in the Top 30 of the Billboard Top 200, certified eight-times platinum in the U.S. and having sold more than 11 million copies worldwide, topping charts in four countries.
“A Taste of Saskatchewan” was designed after two very successful festivals — a Taste of Edmonton and A Taste of Manitoba. These two festivals have been operating for over 20 years with a concept of providing an outdoor dining and entertainment extravaganza. The original “Taste Of” event was A Taste of Chicago and today there are Taste of festivals across Canada and the United States.

A Taste of Saskatchewan will feature 30 of Saskatoon's finest restaurants. Each restaurant is limited to serving 3 items. These 3 items are three of the restaurant’s house favorites.

A Taste of Saskatchewan sells food tokens to the public for $2.50 each. These food tokens are then exchanged at the restaurant for their desired food items. You will notice that all items are priced at 1 or 2 tokens with generous portions, making "Taste of Saskatchewan" very
affordable for hungry customers.

TICKETS (N/A)
July 10, 2012 @ 11:00 AM

July 11, 2012 @ 11:00 AM

July 12, 2012 @ 11:00 AM

July 13, 2012 @ 11:00 AM

July 14, 2012 @ 11:00 AM

July 15, 2012 @ 11:00 AM

The world's foremost classical crossover quartet IL DIVO announced their North American 2012 tour last week and have just added Nikki Yanofsky to a number of the Canadian dates. The rising young Canadian jazz-pop prodigy Nikki Yanofsky has been invited to open for Il Divo at select North American shows. An incandescent live performer who became the youngest artist ever to headline the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2006 (she was 12), Nikki has since recorded two successful albums--the live Ella...Of The I Swing in 2008 and her studio-debut Nikki in 2010. Her single, "I Believe" achieved the highest first-week sales of any Canadian artist in SoundScan history.

The Il Divo world concert tour will see this phenomenal quartet- Carlos Marin, Sebastien Izambard, David Miller and Urs Buhler – perform at leading venues across Europe, UK, Australia, South Africa, Japan & Asia in advance of their stateside shows.

Their most recent "An Evening With Il Divo" tour, which spanned most of 2009, saw sold out shows across 130 cities. Il Divo received the Billboard Breakthrough Award for one of the biggest grossing tours of the year.

With a new show designed by Creative Director Brian Burke (Artistic Director of 'La Reve' and Celine Dion's 5 year run of 'A New Day' at Caesars Palace, both in Las Vegas), and performed with the Il Divo band and famed orchestras across each city, the 2012 tour promises to incorporate a stunning visual and musical mix of fan favourites as well as premiering songs from their eagerly anticipated new album Wicked Game.

"Il Divo is the perfect modern fusion of opera, theatre and concert performance. It is a privilege as a director to create a visual landscape inviting the audience on a theatrical journey of their music," said Brian Burke.

Lingerie Football League officials finalized its biggest season to date in the States with a record television audience, expansion into five more US markets and sell-out crowds. Now the focus has shifted to LFL Canada, which recently has made national headlines with team market announcements to include the return of the Toronto Triumph, the naming of the BC Angels, a Regina team and now joining as the fourth franchise of LFL Canada, Saskatoon.

"The LFL has become a very successful sports franchise in the States, drawing sell-out crowds. The current level of excitement, fan fare and media attention around LFL Football coming to Canada will certainly translate in our city and building. Especially considering the rivalry that will surely form between us and Regina. We are excited that the LFL has chosen the city of Saskatoon and Credit Union Centre as the official home of the Saskatoon franchise", said, Will Lofdahl, Chief Executive Officer of Credit Union Centre.

Fans can vote on the eventual Saskatoon team name by submitting their name submissions via email to: LFLinSaskatoon@LFLUS.com

LFL Canada is the Canadian arm of what has become the fastest growing sports league in the States (as per BusinessWeek), the Lingerie Football League. In comparison to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) or World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) through their first three seasons of operation, LFL Football has achieved far more national television viewership, attendance and growth through the same initial period of time.

"While we have enjoyed unprecedented success in the US, we believe LFL Canada will actually draw far more success. The fanatical culture that exists around sports throughout the country and specifically within the Saskatchewan Province, was the primary catalyst behind the formation of LFL Canada and the naming of two Saskatchewan franchises", said, Mitchell S. Mortaza, Founder & Chairman, Lingerie Football League, LLC.

Due to the international interest around LFL Football, the league will launch not only LFL Canada in Fall 2012 but LFL Australia in 2013 with additional plans to launch LFL Europa in 2014.

The RIAA has certified Rush for the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band, topped only by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Rush's vast catalog includes such classics as 1974's self-titled debut, 1976's "2112," 1981's "MOVING PICTURES," 1996's "TEST FOR ECHO," and 2002's "VAPOR TRAILS." Rush's most recent studio album, 2007's "SNAKES & ARROWS," debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200, marking the band's highest chart debut since 1993, as well as their eleventh top 10 album in the U.S. The album's first single, "Far Cry," hit the top 5 at mainstream rock radio, with airplay on over 100 radio stations in the US. Additionally, the "SNAKES AND ARROWS" track "Malignant Narcissism" was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance category. In addition to their commercial success, Rush has also been recognized with a number of Juno Awards and multiple Grammy nominations, including one for the acclaimed documentary "Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage" at this year's gala event. Enjoying a recent pop culture renaissance, Rush made a rare television appearance - their first in over 30 years - on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" and a memorable cameo in the film "I Love You, Man." A career-chronicling Rolling Stone feature summed up the renowned rock trio's continuing artistic vitality by observing, "It's true that Rush doesn't mean today what it did in '76 or even '96. It may mean more."

TICKETS ($100.50, $70.50, $50.50,$30.50, + SC + FF)
September 28, 2012 @ 8:00 PM
 http://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/1100483766445E81
